Frinton greensward should be full of visitors by now, playing football, sitting in deckchairs, strolling along the cliff path. Instead, it is empty except for a few crows and black-headed gulls.
There is nobody there to watch the clock tick and the beach huts which you can just see on the right, remain padlocked and sleeping.
The grass however has welcomed the endless rain and shows it's appreciation by almost glowing bright green.
