Sweetness of Summer

I don't quite know what to say about today.  Its been fine, I got up and went to work, I had two meetings in the morning, I went out for a bike ride at lunchtime and got very hot, and I worked all afternoon.  I went to the supermarket and came home and cooked dinner - sausage casserole - an odd choice for a warm day but I had some sausages which needed using and this is always a tasty dish.  I watered my plants in the garden and felt guilty about it as I am conscious we have had so little rain that I should be minimal in my use of water.  I have been using the washing up water but that isn't enough so I have to use water straight from the tap - good enough to drink.  My sweet peas have finally come into bloom and their scent wafts around the garden when there is a breeze.  My neighbours who are moving at the weekend and have offered me a yukka plant from their front garden.  I am not all that keen on them but I felt I ought to take up their kind offer.  I don't know what to do with it - may be I can put it in a pot and take it to work to green up my office?
