lunch
Firstly thanks for yesterdays stars and hearts I would have passed them on to the moorhen family but didn't see them today. In fact this morning was very quite on my patch. So I found 30 minutes at lunchtime to pop back and found that the adult male peregrine had beaten me to eating.
Unfortunately the prey has rings and this is why urban peregrines get persecuted. Pigeon owners keep their birds captive but when they let them fly they do so in flocks giving raptors an easier target. Nature usually wins but is not universally popular
