Tiny Tuesday

There are a lot of palm trees in my area and every year they get a big trim. At the moment it seems like everywhere you look people are trimming everything like crazy! ;o)

I was lucky enough to come across a big pile of clippings from about six palm trees waiting to be picked up and in amongst it all was this fantastic big seed head. It's as long as my forearm and quite dense and heavy!

It is so wonderfully intricate and this macro shot shows some lovely detail of the seeds. The underlying structure is quite amazing too. At the other end where some of the seeds have fallen off you can see the sort of scaffolding that they sit in! I'll put a shot of that in as my extra.

I liked this shot as it looked like a big fish! :D
