I've Got It!!!

Alex is 5 today. Can't believe it is five years since he was born.

Here he is in absolute rapture at the sight of the one item that he has wanted for months. It is a Lego Police Station and we have told him repeatedly that it is too expensive (it is) and, especially as he wanted a Nintendo DS for his birthday present, we said he certainly couldn't have both. In light of this, he said he would wait until next year for the DS as he really, really, really wants the Lego set.

How could we resist? Well we did resist but also got his grandparents to club together and send money so that we could get the set as a joint present from them. This picture doesn't convey the sheer joy as he repeated, "I've got it! I've got it! I've got it!"
