Frozen Breakfast
It was -3.7 degrees C this morning when we went feeding out. I had five layers of clothing on, as well as a hat and thermal socks, but I was still cold. It was frosty and foggy......a typical morning in Murchison.
The cows don't seem to mind eating frozen grass. They get hay as well, but seem to prefer eating the grass first.
The water troughs were also frozen, poor cows had to wait for the sun to come out before they could have a drink.
The sun did come out (at lunch time), and it has been a brilliant afternoon, although still only 9 degrees, but at least that is in the positives.
