Cairngorm Funicular Railway

We've had a great day today. This morning we met our friends J, A and baby L at the carpark to the Cairngorm Mountain. We then all headed up the mountain on the Funicular Railway. It was very exciting and Kerr loved every minute.

At the top we had a good look around the exhibition and out onto the viewing point. Luckily it was a nice clear day so the views were excellent. We had lunch in the restaurant at the top of the mountain before getting the Funicular back down again.

We then headed to Loch Insh to allow Kerr to have a nap in the car and to give Fudge a much needed walk. We skimmed stones in the water and did some people watching - very funny watching people trying to row boats unsuccessfully. We had to try our very best not to laugh.

Back to the caravan tonight and we had lasagne for dinner. We then went for a wander to Grantown on Spey town in the search for an ice cream shop. It was closed! So we had to make do with ice lollies from the Coop instead.
