Working Saturday

#3 daughter brought Ella and Nathaniel for the day. While we played with the children (as it rained in the night this mostly involved running and splashing in the muddy puddles), daughter got on with school work. She is preparing for a new A level course she will be teaching next term. It's not easy having 2 young children, a full time job and a partner who works night shifts, to fit in all the marking and preparation needed to do a good job.

Public sector workers got no pay rise over the 5 years of the previous government, and are to be limited to no more than 1% this next 5. We are told the average wage has gone up by 8%. Who is getting it? Oh wait, that's the government giving itself a large whack for a start.
