A good walk
Gavin is still not feeling great, and the doctor said that he is not allowed to exercise. However, it was such a beautiful day that we could not sit in the apartment all day so we decided to get the gondola half way up the mountain and walk downhill back to the village. Walking downhill is not strenuous and we thought it would be okay for Gavin. It was a wonderful walk with lovely views. At one point there was a herd of heifers across the path and they went for Murdoch, cheeky creatures that they are, they are not scared of dogs and always try to chase them. Gavin had Murdoch on the lead at this point and so he quickly hot footed it down the mountain, dragging Murdoch behind him until the heifers gave up the chase! It was very hot today, 28C, and so we were glad to get home into the cool apartment and have a cold drink. I managed to clock up just over 32000 steps on my fitbit, it was a longer walk than we realised!
Thomas spent the morning downhill biking, and after lunch joined his friend at the pool. Thankfully, Adam is back home again in England safe and sound and he managed to survive Magaluf with no alcohol poisoning, tattoos or similar horrible mishaps! He says they had a brilliant time, loved the music and the clubs, and they all got very sad on the plane going home as they realised that this was the end of their five years together at school. He is now talking about a reunion trip next year.....
