A beautiful day

When it is a sunny and cloudless day like today, you can't help believing that this is God's own country. The scenery is breath taking, it is hot but not too hot, and the blue sky just stretches out over those mountain peaks.

Gavin and I had a busy morning. We have had an apartment here for 10 years now and the opportunity has arisen for us to buy a bigger one and sell our existing one. This has been motivated by the boys getting older and thinking to the future when they will come here with their partners one day, and as the 'ideal' replacement apartment does not come up very often we decided to go for it when it did come up. The new apartment is older, if that makes sense, so we wish to make a few minor changes and so spent the morning with the carpenter/builder discussing these. 

Then Gavin went to the doctor as he has been feeling rotten for a week now. Being Switzerland, the doctor took x-rays and blood tests from his rooms - no need to refer to a hospital - and gave the results straight away. Gavin has a bad bronchitis infection and is very anaemic, but has been given strong antibiotics and will have to have a follow up blood test with his own doctor when he gets home (for the anaemia)

We then went for a pleasant walk and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Thomas has had fun at the swimming pool and then playing tennis with a friend of his from school who also holidays here.
