In the night garden

Tonight we went to one of the winter holiday activities the city council had put on. This one was the night of d'light at the botanic gardens where they light up the park with different displays.

It was sooo cold but so incredibly beautiful. They have a loop set out that you can follow with various things along the way. The hot house was my favourite i think, all the beautiful tropic plants lit up.

We took Kanye in his chair and we rugged them up all warm, i brought along some glow sticks or rather mini light sabers!

Half way along Harper started to get a bit frightened, it was all a little much for him and only the displays were lit up so often the paths were dark and it wasn't easy to see in front of him let alone Andre walking alongside holding his hand.


Kanye and Mar really enjoyed it and i'm so pleased we went, we ate dinner before we left so full tummies would keep them warm. When we got back i already had their pjs ready and we had hot chocs. They all fell asleep fast. The night time walk did some good!

We had a pretty easy going day otherwise, though the morning initially was difficult Kanye was grumpy when he woke up and a little bit aggressive.

I put out an activity for Mar and Harper- coloured sand (salt), they played for ages with it. Kanye wasn't at all bothered only wanting to watch his shows.

This week has gone fast though the days feel slow.
