FlowerFriday 10 Lacecap Hydrangea

This pretty plant has taken ages to get established in our garden (possibly due to being too dry) but this year it has finally started to flourish with extra feeding and watering.  Apparently the tiny blooms in the centre - which I think really do look like lace or embroidery -are the fertile flowers, whilst the big pink showy flowers are sterile.  So big isn't always best!

In other news - Andy failed to get to the Wimbledon final, beaten by Roger Federer. I rather hope that The Fed takes the title again on Sunday.
