Rust2Rome and home again!

My son Peter has just completed the Rust2Rome Rally. The rally starts from Edinburgh, Scotland to Rome, Italy and the car must cost less than £500. It is a "fun rally" as opposed to a race. My son decided that as he lives in Cornwall and the rally started in Scotland, that he would give himself, and the car, a bit more of a challenge by driving to Lands End and then to John O'Groats the day before starting the rally, picking up his Co-driver in Nottingham on the way. He got some local and family sponsorship for the Macmillan cancer charity. He made lots of friends amongst fellow rally teams and his car and he and his co driver all fared well and arrived safe and sound in Rome two days ago. Then drove home to Cornwall via the Roscoff ferry last night. The only problem seems to have been a quick change of plan from the Dover ferry to the Channel tunnel, fortunately just before that too became problematic! So I'm very proud of him and his achievement. Well done Peter and Ant and "Team Kernow Cab"!
