A sunflower for Isabel

I went up to the allotment for a while in the morning, mostly just to pick broad beans and peas. And I planted a sunflower for Isabel.

The crematorium was packed beyond capacity; around 20 of us were standing at the back. We went back to the Masonic social club in Shrubhill for a cup of tea and a ham sandwich, though mainly to give Eric a big hug. They had been married for over 50 years and were the best of pals.
