Sun setting on the snow

We headed to Motueka and Richmond for appointments today.  The roads were rather icy (even more so than yesterday), so we took our time.  On the way home, the sun was setting on the mountains.  I took this photo at Korere, a beautiful part of the trip home.  I was surprised how brown the grass was, considering the time of year.  Hopefully the lack of grass won't affect spring lambing.

It is hard to believe the first week of the holidays are over.  Hopefully the second week will be much more relaxing than the first.
