Hands On

My recently completed archaeology course was very interesting indeed but lacked any practical work, so when a friend of mine who has an archaeology business in the UK, discovered a medieval house site when digging the foundations for his new house and invited me to join the dig, I accepted the offer to come over and get involved for a few days. So it was straight to the office after being collected from the airport and getting stuck into cleaning some of the pottery found in pits on the site.
