A couple of bright sparks on a cold day!

Today has been one of the coldest days we have had in quite a few years, with temperatures not getting above 7 degrees, no more snow, but what fell yesterday is still on the mountain.

We took the grandies into Rotorua this afternoon for a swim at the hot pools and as we were walking in there were a few snow flakes falling and settling on our jackets, that is just about unheard of in our town. We all soaked in the pools along with quite a few other school holiday makers but thoroughly enjoyed it.

On our way home I popped in to the local fish shop to pick up some fresh fish for dinner and got a surprise to see a pink haired lady getting fish and chips. Looked around and saw another with green hair! Turns out they were heading into town for the "Colour the Night" Festival and they were going to be playing their ukeleles. Two really delightful and happy ladies who certainly are enjoying life, and were very happy to have their photo taken, along with their fish and chips.

Had to include the extra photo which was going to be my blip until I met my ladies, there is a huge sign on the walls of the Blue Baths....got Aidan to pose for me with his goggles on...quite a scream.

The parents arrive tomorrow night along with another one or maybe three extra grandies who are staying next week. Holidays are wonderful...and very busy.
