A different kind of day
Our day was spend exploring in a different fashion. We woke up at 7 and had a casual breakfast before waiting to take a bus in to Bilbao. I have seen images of the Guggenheim for years and longed to see it. It did not disappoint. As we moved on to our next pueblo we encountered a line of pilgrims waiting outside the alburgue and there was still an hour and a half until it opened. Patience is required on the camino and it can come in many different forms . Some people race to complete the days and walk so that they can be first in line. Others, like the German man we met yesterday walk as they feel their body requires and are met with no place to lodge. There is no right way and it is certainly not a race. I simply wish that the aggressive woman who smugly declared that there was no room to both me yesterday and the older spaniard who arrived at 5 today, could see this.
