Goodbye Sweden
We travelled south today and caught the ferry from Helsingborg (Sweden) to Helsingor (Denmark). It's a 20 minute crossing on quite a big ferry which goes like clockwork. The duty-free rules made us laugh. Cigarettes could only be sold in Swedish waters and alcohol and chocolate were only available in Danish waters, so if you wanted to buy beer and chocolate you had to wait for 10 minutes until the bell sounded and then do a supermarket sweep!!
The first building we saw on the Danish side was Kronborg Castle, Hamlet's castle.
When we alighted in Denmark, we were delighted to see lovely thatched houses and pretty little villages with marinas along the coast. It felt good to be back in this country.
