Miles from Anywhere?

I could have been in the middle of the New Forest, but in fact I was meeting a friend for lunch just outside Bournemouth.  It reminded me how young Bournemouth is.  If an army captain  hadn't taken a shine to the area in 1810 and decided to build a house on the heathland, the town wouldn't exist today.
