The Wellie Tree

Whilst the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival is over - there are still some 'exhibits' around the town.  This year they had a 'Tree Trail' and here we have The Wellie Tree created by Hebden Royd School.
Wrapped around the trunk was this poem:

I like the town on rainy nights
When everything is wet
Then all the town has magic light
And streets of shiny jet
 
When all the pools are velvet skies
And down the dazzling street
A fairy city gleams and lies
In beauty at my feet.

...Welcome to our small town.....


I thought it rather charming :-)
