Red-banded Leafhopper
About the size of a sliver of wood and very easy to overlook. But when you do look closely, this beautiful bug is a little work of art!
It measures about 1/3 of an inch (or 8 mm) long, nothing I would have seen before my time behind a macro lens...
Today was the day of mini jewel-like bugs; I placed two more in extras.
It was nice to get back to my comfort zone! Cherry Fest was fun over the weekend, but I missed my daily insect safaris. ;-)
