Hot
The thought of having to visit a medical establishment tomorrow, sent my innards in to shut down mode. Not a good morning and eventually gave up, switching on the TV to watch the F1 from Silverstone.
Usually, I manage to fall asleep during the warm-up lap but actually saw at least 20 laps before the eyes closed.. Woke up just after the finish and missed the excitement of the rain. A Williams win would have been an interesting development. Been a good sporting weekend for Germany - the F1 won by a German Mercedes and the 3rd place in the Women's Football World Cup was won with a German Adidas football. Sadly couldn't find a German connection for Mr Murray who seems to be very popular in England for two weeks of the year.
When I woke, checked the temperature: 40.2°C on the terrace in the shade (paving no doubt helps to heat it up). Wasn't long before I was in the pool despite its 33°C!
Had a nice chat with daughter Kate in Ireland - it is her birthday today and while not quite as good on the weather front, the family had a nice afternoon outing. Will be great to see them all in a few weeks.
At 11:45 pm it was still 25°C but no sign of thunderstorms. Weird. Will ignore the forecast shown on the thermometer forecast at top of Blip.
