Escape The Heat

Wonderful day hiding from the heat under the hanging glaciers above Gressoney-La-Trinité. 

Sad to see our favorite restaurant Capanna Carla has moved from it's characteristic farmhouse setting to a bit lower down the valley in a hotel along the road.  Same owners and wife in the kitchen cooking... but somehow was different and the young waitresses weren't up to snuff.  Miss the screaky wooden floors, low slung open beam ceilings, all the nick-nacks and especially the setting up on the hillside.  Pity.

An afterlunch playdate at a small playground near to the ski lifts and open views to the glaciers up high on Monte Rosa.  Tough decision whether to highlight CC or Mr. JC...  So a few extras today as I feel in a good mood to 'burn' some of the 100 available.
