Blazin' Fiddles

Just back from Cromarty after watching the amazing Blazin' Fiddles playing in the Old East Church.
What a great venue, the setting was lovely and the acoustics terrific.
Blazin' Fiddles are ' a contemporary Scottish fiddle band from the Highlands and Islands. Their name refers to the burning of fiddles tht was carried out by the Church in parts of Scotland in the 19th Century. All are inspired from their surroundings and produce a great sound together. It was great to meet up with Julie, PurpleIsleMum and her family too.

Before we went in we saw the Royal Princess heading out to sea and the Tall ship , Thalassa coming in past the Sutors.

Phew ,made it before midnight !!
