Tree of Codes

After last night's excitement, I had a gentle walk along the Rochdale Canal, under photogenic skies.. 

This evening we are going with my sister, as her Christmas present to us, to see Tree of Codes, a new ballet being performed at the Opera House as part of the Manchester International Festival - reviewed here. The trailer is here.This is a collaboration between choreographer Wayne McGregor, visual artist Olafur Eliason and musician Jamie xx. It is based on the book "Tree of Codes" by Jonathan Safran Foer, a novel literally carved from the text of Bruno Schultz' "Street of Crocodiles" in which words and phrases are cut from the pages to produce an entirely different story. But I don't suppose they will allow photography.
