After the obligatory trip to The Deep (aquarium, cafe, gift shop, we did the lot) it was time for a bit of wander over the award-winning Scale Bridge, and then a mosey around High Street and the museums quarter. Taking in, of course, the currently-being-demolished Joseph Rank Ltd and Clarence Flour Mills buildings. For those who like a bit of history that's nineteenth-century Hull industrialist and philanthropist Joseph Rank (founder of Rank Hovis and father of J Arthur) that we're talking about here.

My eldest was particularly impressed with the swearing visible in the graffiti adorning some of the windows, but I won't dwell on that...
