Down to Hull with the family for a couple of days to see my folks. Not a great start to the trip when we got held 45 minutes into the journey at Berwick whilst the police came to escort a 'disruptive passenger' from the train. Consequently we missed connections at York and arrived at Hull Paragon (don't forget the 'Paragon' bit!) considerably later than planned. Ho Hum.

Anyway, we sent the girls home with the grandparents whilst we went for a quick drink in the old town before heading to the central library to see stand-up poet Luke Wright in a small room with 14 other people. Intimate. And Luke was terrific - basically doing his 'Stay-at-Home Dandy' set that he'll be doing at the fringe this year. And, normally I'd go and see him as I have done several times before, but as I saw him tonight I'll simply recommend him to everyone else.
