Raindrops

I almost entitled this "raindrops keep falling........" but that would be entirely wrong.  We had a cracker of thunderstorm last night and it began to rain big heavy drops.  I went out this morning dry ground I checked the water but, still almost empty.  Around tea time it started to rain "Oh good I will get the but topped up".   No just enough to produce these drops on the iris leaves.

I realise in many ways we were lucky with the storm many people suffered a lot of damage.  However well over a week ago Kanyl was bemoaning the lack of rain and how dry the ground was getting.  I can't remember when we last had a decent shower of rain.

I liked this shot more than more traditional shots where the light was catching the droplets making them shine.  Off to set up for Skelton Show tomorrow.
