The Hidden Gem...

...Well... hidden unless you are a fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, or an invited guest, otherwise a notice informs you to 'Keep Out'  The open gate was too tempting for me and I ventured in a little way to take a picture of the border, just inside on the right. See extra. The garden contains an outstanding herbaceous border, sweeping lawns and a pool used for swimming since 1690. If I ever see a gardener around, I shall ask if I can go in to take pictures. I have done this before in other colleges and in Christ's college a gardener unlocked the gate to their ancient pool for me to see the statues. No harm in making a polite request !
