Our thoughts of yesterday

We have now picked four huge, juicy, ripe strawberries and checking on them has become a twice (at least) a day ritual for the small bloke. Watering has been essential with the temperature in the back garden at meltdown and I'm reminded to check on them while he's away at school (should one ripen to perfection in his absence I'm not sure if I'm required to do anything). I doubt that we shall harvest a whole bowlful at once but it's great to watch miniman bursting with pride at his achievement.
Oh! And talking of bursting with pride. I got his first school report. He's a superstar. He's exceeding in almost everything and his teacher said lovely things about him. Yes! I think I might burst!
