Anne Hathaway's Cottage

It seems like it was the hottest day of the year. We stayed in this morning sorting our mother’s photos and I made some coffee.
 
After lunch we went to Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Shottery as Beryl fancied a visit.. We walked to the cottage via Shottery Brook Walk and had a good look around the house and cottage garden then went for a woodland walk. All in all Hathaway's covers nine acres. We didn't make the arboretum and sculpture park as it was too hot.
 
Later we set up the barbeque and had a BBQ meal outside washed down with a fine bottle of red.
