Can they see us?
Despite living in the West Midlands, local walks still provide plenty of opportunity to see interesting wildlife. These four red deer were trying to share a local footpath with us, but went cross country through a field of wheat when we came upon them.
I had been out earlier and can honestly say I was spoilt for choice on the blip front (for a change). The cygnets previously featured are all in good health, with no losses. A reed warbler was trying to encourage me away from its nest; a pair of moor hens were feavourishly feeding a chick and the coot chicks have started to lose their "aliens from out of space" look.
Even better, the sun came out and gave us a thoroughly pleasant day. I hope other blippers have been as lucky.
