And Today Canterbury
Todays destination was the historic and county seat of Canterbury. The centre is a strange mix of very old and some very bad modern, it feels to me much more muddled than York or Cambridge but perhaps I am slightly biased having lived and worked in the later two.
There is still a wealth of half timbered buildings, the above is the Sun Hotel, first known as "The Little Inn " in 1503 and made famous by Chas. Dickens in his "travels thro' Kent".
I have added a Yorkshiremans (abet adopted ) view of the Cathedral, they wanted £9 a head to get any closer ! Will we fence the Minster next?
Fail to get to the coast later weight of traffic :(
Paris tomorrow as long as the tunnel is open......
