KILNSEA WETLANDS

This is a view across the Beacon Lagoons, part of Kilnsea Wetlands Nature Reserve, East Yorkshire, UK. In the distance can be seen some of the 73 Wind Turbines just off the NE Coast.

This Reserve, adjacent to Kilnsea Grange Farm, provided wonderful views of Avocet, Egret, Oyster Catcher, Heron and Tern. There is a huge Tern colony on the visible sands with nearly 50 youngsters sheltering from the wind.

Speciality spot just outside the Reserve was a Little Owl watching the road from the top of a haystack.

Don’t spread the word . . . but . . . the trip home was enhanced with the largest dish of Mr Moos Ice Cream that money could buy ! Hehe . . . enjoy !

 

I did not know that yesterday was National Camera Day ! Now that has all kinds of possibilities for next year.
