Gull Feeder, Stockbridge

We took a stroll into Stockbridge with Terry. Poppy was much admired. This bloke was feeding gulls and pigeons next to the Water of Leith.

We had a coffee at Henri's dodging showers. I had a Pain au Chocolat much to The Principal's displeasure.

Then to the airport.

(Addendum: The Principal, ever vigilant, reminds me that the pastry followed scrambled eggs and smoked salmon prepared by herself but an hour and a half earlier. I blame it on all that roof felt and the pleasures of a Sunday morning in Stockbridge. I have apparently also mis-spelt Colinton elsewhere.

Thinking on it now I should have said, "An 'Operation Snack' is always preferable to an 'Operation Stack' which regularly afflicts the M20 to Dover- luckily we missed the chaos now (29 June) developing as Calais closes again and the heatwave threatens.
