Snail taking a walk

It has been raining for a few hours, so this snail (like many of its friends and relations) has decided to come out of its shell.  At the end of the two long, retractable tentacles are the snail's minuscule eyes.

PS This photo was not taken in Dorset, where we have patiently waited for some decent rain for several weeks.  Lawns are now turning brown.
