TEASE

The buds of these poppies tease for weeks.  There follows a brief moment of glory before the defiant seed heads appear. 

To Loch Lomond with the VIP today, puttering around the water in a pedal boat.  We pedalled while he 'steered'.  Oddly, the same bit of shore kept coming back into view.  Tried to capture the magic of the experience, but taking a photo on a small boat is one of those occasions when a selfie stick might actually be useful - I couldn't get the aye phone far enough away from the lovely subjects.  Nevertheless, I have included a duff snap in the extra.
