Home is where the hearth is

The Aborigines have a wonderful practice. Where ever they travel, the moment the stop, the first thing they do is build a fire. The fire is a symbol of place, their place. They may only be passing throughout, or staying for some time, but the fire marks the centre of their place.

Our fire is lit. Well, it's chilly for June.
