Lone Fir Cemetery
We ventured out early to avoid the hottest part of the day, and after a hearty breakfast at Crema, strolled through the Lone Fir Cemetery.
Despite its name, there are hundreds of magnificent trees in the thirty acres -- cedar, chestnut, oak, fir, and many other species I could not identify. The shade they afforded was highly appreciated.
In light of recent happenings in this country, I felt it appropriate to blip Lincoln's Gettysburg address, seen on a Civil War memorial.
We still have a long way to go!
