Cynthia and I had decided we weren't going to blip today, but when we saw a narrow shaft of sunlight coming beneath the blinds, reflecting off the wall behind our wine glasses and the bottle of Picpoul, we grabbed our cameras.

We'd been reminiscing about our many trips to the Languedoc region of France -- where we first discovered Picpoul de Pinet.

The Via Domitia was the first Roman road built in Gaul, connecting Italy and Spain in 118 BC. We saw a small remnant of it in the heart of Narbonne on our final, final visit to the Languedoc in 2014.
