Happy retirement

We've been out on a retirement do today. We've said goodbye to a colleague and friend. This is my pudding its caramel shortbread with cream and lager to follow. Some people call it millionaire shortbread and others call it toffee slab! This one was caramel shortbread. Whichever, with the cream was beautiful.

It was a good day. Everyone enjoyed themselves, all had a smile all day. we had fun with new stories, old stories and remenicing of all the years together. It was of course a boozy do and the baby guiness in happy hour were to die for so we had double! As you do. All drink was half price in happy hour so instead of a glass of wine we bought a bottle, well it was rude not to buy one each wasn't it. It had a top so we could take home what we didn't drink, only there was none left! So we didn't need to take it home.
