Last day at sea
Back to an old routine of a knit & natter session in the Skywalker’s Lounge first thing, followed by breakfast. The ladies were showing off the beautiful Alpaca & silk yarn from Peru that they have bought in Norway!!
This afternoon we were invited to a wine tasting session. Not sure if it was my reduced sense of taste due to a mild cold and sore throat, or the choice of wine, but I’m staying with my old favourites.
We have had an interesting and enjoyable trip. We didn’t do much research on ports before we left as we were so busy with the house move, but I’m sure I’ve seen a “Guide to Norway” on a book shelf at R&P’s, so will do some follow up info gathering when I have time.
One new thing that has worked well is the “any time dinning” sharing tables for six. We have met many interesting people, including a couple from Canada celebrating their third wedding anniversary. They are in their late 80’s and were “sweethearts” in their teens and went their separate ways to marry and have families. After they were widowed they met up again and married. A pleasure to meet such a fun pair.
We dock in Southampton tomorrow morning, ready for the drive home.
