It can't be Autumn, we've not had Summer

After last night's heavy drizzle the cobweb on this little conifer was sparkling with tiny raindrops just as we see in Autumn. Also a couple of mysterious toadstools appeared on the lawn overnight - see extra - yet another autumnal sign. The weather then proceeded to take a turn for the worse with spells of heavy rain and very low cloud. Hardly the most inspiring day to choose a pub lunch in the Dartmoor National Park. At least the food was good
