Flower Friday

I went to visit my favourite bottlebrush Hakea tree (Hakea francisiana) which I haven't been to see for a while. It's in bloom but all the mature flowers are on their way out now because of the rain a while back.

However these little buds were just starting their journey and at 2cm they still have a way to go. Beautifuly coloured and so unusually delicate they won my heart. I've put another tiny weeny little bud (5mm) which was also very beautiful in as my extra, I don't know what the plant is but it's some kind of large succulent.
