CHECKING OUT the NEST

A few years ago I photographed an Osprey nest along Lake Granby.
The spot, is about 25 miles round trip from our cabin,

The nest is built atop a Lodgepole pine tree,
Rather than a man made platform.

Year after year the Osprey couple have added,
More and more twigs leaves and branches.
Making it quite large.

We were happy to see the tree still standing, and 
The nest occupied.

This was a check-it-out trip,
So we weren’t bothered by the lightning storm that hit,

A few minutes after we arrived.
