Royal Scots Colours

Continuing with my precision hits of photo opportunities I nipped into the castle to check out the Royal Scots Waterloo Colours on display for the last time in the Great Hall. I am usually not one for militaria but in this instance I was sufficiently intrigued. It is quite amazing to see these flags. They provide an odd connection with the past.

The castle was seriously packed with tourists and the Tattoo seating on the esplanade is growing. Summer is upon us. I did manage to nip in quickly with my Historic Scotland Pass and managed to dodge all the people. 

The great stinker is still not humming. I hope it doesn't bloom tomorrow as it would be tricky to visit. Friday would be a possibility though. I am determined to check it out.
