Alas Miss E and L

The alternative title for today was Worst Day Out Ever!
And the photo can be seen in Extras.
The day got off to a bad start when Mr K was grumpy at being woken up early by the Little Misses. They only wanted to show him the things they'd made, get him to come and watch their show they've been practising for days and eat the tea party they'd prepared.
I got cross with him for being mean.
Their show was very cute and the tea party was tasty (cheese strings, crisps, grapes and shortbread, yummy!!!)
We decided to go to Anglesey Abbey for the day.
I could write about the fun climbing trees, crawling inside bushes, doing endless cartwheels and handstands, picking buttercups, making trails with sticks, playing on the giant branch xylophone, making giant log see-saws, climbing in the treehouse and the pirate ship, telling stories in the living willow igloo, bark rubbing, lessons on the learning centre, sitting in the bird hide, the tea, the ice cream........
Or I could talk about the over-reaction to rabbit poo, the attitude, the crying, the moaning, whinging, the depressing difference between today and the last time we went.
Sigh.
But the day did redeem itself a bit. On the way out we went into the shop. I wanted to buy myself the same grown up colouring book Mrs C bought the other day at Stowe.
I didn't get it in the end but bought two lovely Phormiums. They cheered me up - as did the fact they were reduced!
Miss E bought a velcro catch ball set and then she, Miss L and Mr K had a happy half hour playing with it on the grass.
Everyone was a lot happier and Miss E even apologised for the ridiculous crying session on the way back to the cafe.
And now - two days later - I'm remembering the good bits and forgetting the bad bits.
It's a bit like childbirth!!!
