In the Vaults

The first day of the club tour of north France. Today we rode from Calais to Arras on a tortuous route that ended up as a 90 miler. I realised that I have been to Arras before. Its a beautiful town with Flemish style squares. Next door to the hotel was a pizzeria which was just want we wanted to restore our energy levels. 

Imagine our surprise when we were escorted downstairs to find this historic cellar full to the brim with diners enjoying Friday night.
