Watery fun... sort of.
Clink..... Clank....... Giggle.....*sound of water being poured*.......Clink......... SMASH!!
'A soowee mum mum, soowee'
Harper decided to help me do the dishes today, I let him. As you can see i put towels pretty much everywhere as he enjoyed tipping water from one cup to another which ultimately led to the smash above, a cup slipped from his hands and landed on another. I lost 2 cups today. they were good cups but at least he managed to avoid hurting himself and he apologised.
He splashed around with his hands in the water loving the bubbles he created then he was done.
He'd been occupied for half an hour which let me get majority of housework done. He came to me soaked, took a nappy from his cubby, gave to me along with a pair of pjs he also found and said
' pujja (pjs'), milk cup, maisy" translated- i want pjs on , a cup of milk and maisy.
When i confirmed what he wanted by repeating it he giggled with delight.
Marley had book character day today at school and he went as fox in sox, last year he was the little yellow digger.
My lovely friend picked him up today early along with her boys as it was pouring down , so grateful she did this i would have been soaked!
Last week there was a news article that took Marley and shook him to his core. He is STILL upset/unhappy/disturbed by it. To him this was highly offensive and extremely criminal.
A 16 year old boy stole a front loader and drove it around for an hour with police chasing him.
The news link for it is here.
My construction mad little guy cannot figure out why anyone would steal such a precious machine as a front loader.
He has expressed to me concern at the construction men who will be missing their front loader, the foreman- he says will be cross, the construction men- sad.
He has been asking so many questions.
What happened to the boy?
Did the police put him in jail?
Did the construction men get the loader back?
Do you think the front loader is scared?
Why did he take a front loader?
Its been, i think 4 maybe 5 days since this has happened and he was again discussing it this afternoon, Over the past days since its happened he will talk to me about it then go quiet for a wee while, i can see hes thinking and processing.
We've told him that its all ok now but this is so much more to him. Its stuck in that wee brain of his.
